I am not from Magnolia, but have lived here for almost 2 years, and will be living here until the spring of 2024. I think that a couple of changes need to be made to this town. The first improvement would be; there needs to be a restaurant open for 24 hours. This is a college town, so I would assume that quite a bit of people stay up late. Personally, I did not go to sleep until 4:30 last night. I would have loved it if I could have driven to a fast food place to pick up a late-night/early morning snack. I love food, and because it is a college town, I am surprised that there isn't already a 24-hour fast-food restaurant. An argument against this would be: that there wouldn't be enough employees staying up that late to work. My response would be that because we do live in a college town, college kids are typically broke/need jobs, so I think there would be plenty of people working. people saying that there wouldn't be people wanting to work during the late hours, but honestly, because it is a college town, and people need jobs, I could see many college kids working at a fast food place that is open for 24 hours.
My only other request is that there be an activity for us to enjoy. This activity could range from there being a bowling alley, a movie theatre, a roller/ice-skating rink, or any other activities. The only activities that students on campus enjoy would be the ones held by student activities, parties (if that is your thing), Walmart trips (closes at 11), or late-night farm road walks. I wish that there was more for us to do.
I don't understand why we do not already have at least 1 24 hours fast food/convenience store or an activity for us to enjoy.
