A Man from Van Buren was sentenced to 30 years in Federal Prison for interstate transportation of a minor from Montgomery County.

A man by the name of Jeffrey Gonzagowski Jr. was sentenced on Spetember 16th for Transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. He recieved 360 months in prison. Following his time in prison, he had 10 years of supervised release. In September of 2014, Gonzagowski was driving from Mt. Ida Arkansas to Oklahoma. During this time, he transported and sexually assaulted the minor accross state lines. He was arrested in 2020. He pled guilty in March of 2021. This case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood. This is a nationwide initiative that fights against child sexual exploitation and abuse.
